The Quattrucci Brothers, Ralph and John, invited me back on their show to discuss the legacy of the late writer/director Peter Bogdonavitch. Bogdonavitch was one of the brightest lights of the New Hollywood period of the late-60s and early-70s. With three back-to-back knockout critical and commercial successes -- The Last Picture Show, What's Up, Doc?, and Paper Moon -- you'd think we'd spend the whole hour singing his praises. We do to a degree. However, Bogdonavitch has a very mixed legacy. It turns out we ultimately came to bury Bogdonavitch, not praise him.
