Here's another COVID free ZOOM edition of the Yippee-Ki-Yay Mother Podcast, a lively discussion of the movies.
In the last couple episodes the Mother Podcasters have found them more or less in agreement on the films, aside from a cynical naysayer now and then. This week I have decided to shake things up by returning to the 1970s, with three time Academy Award winning screenwriter Paddy Chayefsky's The Hospital starry George C. Scott as a suicidal Head of Medicine at a metropolitan teaching hospital, which, in the words of critic Peter Travers, has become "a sinkhole of moral chaos and despair." Sounds fun, right? It is a film that takes a dark left turn about halfway through getting really strange. I thought it lead to a serious discussion. See if I was right...
