What book would you like to see turned into a movie?⁣ ⁣ One book that I would love to see adapted for the screen would be a recent read, Chapel Street by Sean Paul Murphy. ⁣ ⁣ The story is described as The Conjuring meets Hereditary but I honestly thought more along the lines of Exorcist meets Stir Of Echoes. I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads but it's more like ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌠⁣ ⁣ In it, the reader is introduced to 2 genealogists that discover that they have a lot in common, including a family history rife with suicide and sadness. After photographing the grave of one particularly strange and unknown individual, they find themselves drawn into a maelstrom of horror and each night they are inexorably drawn closer to their own self-destruction. What ensues is a mad scramble to uncover the mysteries surrounding the entombed stranger and the uncovering of a dark history surrounding an old bohemian neighborhood better known as Chapel Street. ⁣ ⁣ I really enjoyed this story even after initial concerns that it would veer off into religious preaching. Instead, I found a wonderful story written in a way that didn't force any beliefs on the reader but gave a sense of hope for those who have lost loved ones to suicide. Everything was very well explained and I felt that nothing was left unresolved. Even the demon's history was sufficiently addressed. ⁣ ⁣ The entire time I was reading, I was able to envision everything playing out on a cinematic screen. I would love to see this one as a movie someday and have no doubts that this will be a book that most will enjoy as well. ⁣ ⁣ I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I honestly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
